cyrana
Yes, Acer has one, as do others I imagine. The Acer TravelMate 8200 series... It does weigh an extra pound though, among other things. Bak3r
I am running a Sony vgn-sz110 Its centrino duo with 1 gig of ram. Has some nice specs I must admit. I currently have OS X 10.4.4 running on it upgraded from 10.4.3. It runs alot faster on .4.4 but ALOT of the hardware does not work. Which struck me as odd, I figured it would be the closest of anything to authentic mac hardware. I have no: Wireless Ethernet Sound Graphics locked at 1024x768 and has no acceleration I would be willing to give 10.4.5 a try but I havnt seen any torrents of it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9826-core-duo-laptops/#findComment-61770 Share on other sites

The Hybrid Graphic System features two separate graphics chips that you can Switch between -- an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400, and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. Bak3r
It is very weird how the dual graphics works, I have never seen anything like it. There is a switch on the laptop that changes between two modes Speed and Stamina Only one graphics chip is enabled at a time Nvidia for speed and intel for stamina. In order to change the computer needs to be rebooted. I guess the nvidia chip gobbles alot of power and will kill the battery very fast. So far they both seem to work though Windows seems to work flawlessly with it. It really screws up X on my linux partition, so i just leave it on nvidia and havnt screwed around with it too much in that environment Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9826-core-duo-laptops/#findComment-62993 Share on other sites
