mtrog007
Alright, I already have mac os x fully functioning on a shuttle hackintosh. However, I, like so many other people, would like to partition my hard drive (already partitioned for leopard) for windows xp (hate vista). Is there any easy way to do this simply put? I don't want to edit terminal/code... I am not technical at all (except for the fact that I built this computer). Help? I don't want to reformat my hard drive and reinstall with the kalyway disc by the way...

nikonnut
GUID can do non-destructive partitioning but I don't think it will play nice with XP (Hence MBR). That being the case another HDD is definately the easiest method. Sorry. If you really want to try just go to Disk Utility, select your disk, and click the partion button. At that point it's pretty self explanitory. Just remember your milage may vary and if you kill your install or wipe your HDD it's not my fault, K? mtrog007
thats the thing though, I almost did that but if I partition it it can only go to a "mac os extended (journaled)" ... just like first installing the hackintosh where you choose that setting
