Hi suffering dual monitor fellas and brilliant tech heads,

After endless Leopard (re)install attempts, kext installs, reboots, Mr Chowns and Mrs Chmods I come to the conclusion that the XFX Geforce 7300GS PCI-E 256 is either not compatible with 10.5.2 for dual monitor operation or the different inject methods have never been properly tested. All I ever got is one monitor, never dual operation. The card works fine in Mandriva BTW.

Fancy a bet anyone?

Please feel free to prove me wrong - with precise instructions how to get it to work please, or you lose the bet :P

I've read countless (quite possibly all) tutorials and threads out there and followed them to the T. None of the NVinject, Natit, Titan... kexts work. I also tried this huge code to replace NVCAP in the NVinject info.plist but no luck.

I even tried to get this card to work it in 10.4.10 but that was even worse (blue, black and scrambled screens.

Any help hugely appreciated.

Cheers

Update...

I've lost my bet ... against myself :(

Here's the deelio - (nowhere clearly documented, not even mentioned)

I had to use versions of nVidia related files from february 2007 in the Extensions folder. I think they were from 10.4.8 if I'm not mistaken. That is:

Geforce*.*

NVDA*.*

and the latest NVinject.kext

Dual display, QE/CI, rotation, it's all there

cheers :D
