Safari crashes : No problemo with Camino 1.0 : flash is perfect. Why?

i got the same problem. may be that's related to Quartz Extreme so every people with an unsupported graphic card could have it.

Do you have QE/CI support on your 10.4.4 ?

If someone else is affected, but with QE/CI enabled, please report.

I have CI/QE enabled and i dont have the flash problem that you were describing but i do have some other weird behavior with Safari. any secure webpages (https://www.paypal.com for example) don't work and give the error

"Safari can’t open the page “https://www.paypal.com/” because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server “www.paypal.com”.""

i'm thinking about trying to bring over the 10.4.3 safari and see how that does....

yes, me too, i noticed the problem when i tried to access my yahoo webmail.

antrunix, could you rename the topic "Flash and HTTPS problems with Safari native on 10.4.4" ?

the slidebar flash bug has existed in safari from day one. I'm a web developer and have found it only to happen in safari, not in firefox or anything else. You can't work around it yet - just keep complaining directly to apple about it so they will finally fix that stupid display error!

dkelley

so how to acces HTTPS website?? :(

im using SSE2 maybe this is it? anyone eperiencing the https error with SSE3?

or using WIFI ?

i had someone under 10.4.4 using SSE2 and working fine for him it's weird

i had used the 0.3 maxxuss patch + the SSE2 kernel maybe someone can confirm it does the HTTPS error even using PATCH SOLUTION 1.0 files

i have no problem here opening https pages including paypal

yes this is really strange, the only thing i admit is i have been using the 1rst maxxuss patch, but i checked in patch solution 1.0 files r the same from 14th feb so no way this is a solution...

And i have installed J2SE 5.0 but doesnt have sthg to do...

For the rest in using WIFI anyway everything were fine with 10.4.3 1111A

I have a Mac Mini, and Safari when showing a Google video or Flash will not do sound right. Quicktime I think I got working... most of the headaches started when I paired a Bluetooth headset to the Mini... then suddenly, despite system preferences saying otherwise, certain web multimedia started playing out the headset. If I turned off the headset I'd get a Bluetooth Audio Device not found error.

I ultimately deleted the pairing, but things been fubar since.

This is a real Apple computer running a genuine licensed, non hacked OS X. Just to let ya know even the real thing can suck sometimes.

Who said "It just works?" :happymac:
