enb14
I'm working with 10.4.4 everything is working flawlessly except when my computer goes to sleep, after that I only have a black screen (my monitor doesn't wakes up). Is someone else having this problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9457-when-i-suspend-sleep-my-1044-it-doesnt-wakes-up-anymore/ Share on other sites
domino
You're lucky your rig can even sleep. My system is an insomniac. The little bugger just refuses to sleep. Danman
My pc hasn't slept since 10.4.3 8F1099, it must be tired by now Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9457-when-i-suspend-sleep-my-1044-it-doesnt-wakes-up-anymore/#findComment-59208 Share on other sites
Templeton Peck
I have this problem too. Just go to the Energy Saver Preference Pane and move the Sleep slider to Never. You can still let the Display and Hard Disks sleep if they want to - they need the rest. enb14
That's what I'm doing right now but I would like to know why sleep doesn't works anymore (S3 State) which worked flawlessly for me on 10.4.3 8F1111, I really miss this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9457-when-i-suspend-sleep-my-1044-it-doesnt-wakes-up-anymore/#findComment-59311 Share on other sites
domino
If you kept a backup of your old 10.4.3 extesion folder, try loading the kexts that you think might work. It would be along the line of Power Managment. My computer hadn't slept since 10.4.1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9457-when-i-suspend-sleep-my-1044-it-doesnt-wakes-up-anymore/#findComment-59349 Share on other sites
Danman
Switching back to the GMA on my mobo has enabled S3 sleep wakes up ok too. What patches did you run on your kernel? I just did base. My computer hadn't slept since 10.4.1 I've removed my kexts that I used from 10.4.3 in my 10.4.4 because I thought it was the problem but I still can't suspend my PC, well I'll try to use more kexts from 10.4.3 and see what happens. Krazubu
I had this issue to, till I set my BIOS to auto for sleeping mode. It was forcing S3 before Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9457-when-i-suspend-sleep-my-1044-it-doesnt-wakes-up-anymore/#findComment-61967 Share on other sites
mark7714
FYI... I don't know if this is true for anyone else, but as of 10.4.5 "sleeping" seems to be working perfectly for me (whereas before it would only work, maybe, 50% of the time).
