Mcgilligan
Alright, this fix SHOULD WORK FOR MOST OF YOU. After you have installed OS X and you reboot, make sure you are booting to your hard drive and not the install disc. Then, press F8 multiple times after you get past your pc's bios screen. You SHOULD be at a screen that asks you to select which partition you want to boot from. There will be two options, the first drive will be without a name, and the second drive should be named whatever you named it when installing (BTW make sure when you install that the partition's name has NO SPACES in it) select the drive that you made during the installation and press enter. Hope this helps! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94442-comapplebootplist-not-found/#findComment-675572 Share on other sites
Ohmsford
The problem does not occur after you install os x, it occurs before you can even install anything. You put the disc in, it spins up, says press enter to install, then immediately says can't find /com.apple.boot.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/94442-comapplebootplist-not-found/#findComment-675620 Share on other sites
Hakemon
Ok, I installed my Leopard install on my HD which was named "Leo".. I later changed it to "Macintosh HD" (from habbit of years of using a real Mac). It still works fine.. Did I luck out?
