R3D-F!@G Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Hallo, Ich will OS x86 auf meinem PC installieren, hab das zwar schon (sehr) oft probiert doch bis her ohne Erfolg, was alles an meinem Mainboard lag, jetzt bin ich am überlegen mir ein neues Mainboard zu kaufen, weiß aber nicht welches kompatibel ist. Das Mainboard sollte danach mit: *Pentium D (Intel, Sockel 775) *NVidia Geforce 6800 (AGP) ....funktionieren, also so das ich nix neues kaufen muss. Gibt es da Mainboards die besonderst zu empfehlen sind? Danke im vorraus! Hab jetzt schon diverse Kernel ausprobiert, aber funktionieren tut es nur sporadisch (alle 2-3 Male). RedFlag: Wenn du dir ein neues Mainboard kaufen willst lohnt es sich vielleicht gleich die komplette HW zu tauschen, um bestmögliche Lauffähigkeit zu erreichen. Graka ab 40€ - 7300GT/GTS z.B. Board ab 40€ - P5B bei ebay 45€ CPU brauchst ja nich neu kaufen. Mein P5B VM funzt eigentlich ganz gut bist auf den Shutdown und den 5.1 Sound. Und wenn du nur knapp 100€ investierst, um kompatible Hardware zu bekommen, warum nicht machen? Wenn du allerdings nebenbei noch in Windows zocken willst o.ä. dann lohnt sich ein Wechsel der Grafikkarte nicht. Denn dann müsstest du wesentlich mehr investieren (ca. 70-150€ oder mehr) um eine spielfähige Grafikkarte zu bekommen. Mein Tipp als Typ der sich seine HW von jeher selbst zusammengebastelt hat: Steige jetzt auf PCI-Express um (neue Graka, neues Mainboard), behalte deinen Pentium D (Wechseln zu nem Core2Duo/Core2Quad kannst du später). Das bringt eigentlich nur Vorteile, auch wenn du die jetzt auf Anhieb nicht so sehen kannst. Wenn du Geld übrig hast könntest du sogar in die obere 7000er Serie einsteigen (also 7600 - 7900). Hab dann innen am Gehäuse ein "Micro ATX" gefunden! Wie ich wikipedia entnommen hab ist "Micro ATX" kleiner wie ATX, kann ich das jetzt vergessen und nach einem anderen MaBo umschauen? @ TheFr33k: Ja du hast recht und wie ich gerade feststelle ist das auch die einzige Möglichkeit, da das Asus P5B ja garkeinen AGP anschluss mehr hat oO! Was aber eine gute Nachricht ist: Ich hab euch veräppelt (..und vllt auch mich^^), ich hab keine AGP GraKa sondern Eine PCIe (zum Glück). Klar würde ich mir eine neue Kaufen wenn da mein Geldscheiser mitmachen würde ;-). Und so wichtig ist mir die GraKa auch nicht, da ich nicht viel spiele. Aber trozdem danke für den Tipp!! R3D-F!@G Posted March 23, 2008 Author Share Posted March 23, 2008 Ich habe mir jetzt das Mainboard gekauft (+ neues Gehäuse). Nur funktionieren tut das immernoch nicht! Jetzt kommt ein "com.apple.Boot.plist not found error". Ich habe mich hier mal im Forum umgeschaut und gelesen das es daran liegen könnte das ich DVD-Laufwerk und Festblatte an einem IDE Kabel hab. Ich hab inzwischen so ziemlich jede Möglichkeit ausprobiert (Cable Selct, Master, Slave...), aber zum laufen hab ich es noch nich gekriegt! Ich hab auch gelesen das es an der DVD liegen könnte, also hab ich eine DVD (JaS 10.4.6) probiert von der ich ganz genau weis das sie geht => exakt der gleiche Fehler (wie bei jeder anderen DVD, die ich daheim hab...)! Also kann es ja nicht an der DVD liegen (obwohl ich die jetzt auch schon zum 2. Mal gebrannt hab)! Hat einer noch eine Idee was ich machen könnte? Vielleicht was ich im Bios einstellen muss? Nach dem Tausch des DVD-Laufwerks (alt: IDE-, neu: SATA-Anschluss) klappt das Booten ohne Probleme. Vielleicht mal testen ob es daran liegt ? R3D-F!@G Posted March 23, 2008 Author Share Posted March 23, 2008 Danke, Newchurch, hatte sowas schon vermutet, und muss ich sowieso machen, da das P5B nur ein IDE anschluss hat und ich 2 DVD-Laufwerke + IDE Festblatte hab. ...Ich glaub ich würd (bis ich kompatible HW hab) mit einem iMac billiger wegkommen ;-). Könnte es auch noch an etwas anderem liegen? Nicht das ich noch nacher das falsche kauf ;-). Nach der Installation wollte ich booten und bekomm eine Meldung das ich den PC wieder ausschalten muss. Er hängt sich immer auf nach dem er loginwindow.app geladen hat. Was kann ich da machen? Wie lang bleibt die Meldung etwa? Weil wenn es sich um einen Fehler handelt müsste nach ca. 1 min "Still waiting for root device" kommen. Achso es ist generell zu empfehlen immer ohne alles zu installieren, also nur das nötigste, kein Natit usw. Das mit dem ohne alles installieren hab ich auch schon probiet (is ja nicht meine 1. Installation Heute ;-)) Aber könnte es auch an BIOS Einstellungen liegen? Was hast du den für besondere Einstellungen gemacht?
