I got an AMD 3600+ X2 with Zeph's 10.5.2 DVD installed. Got everything setup as far as sound, network, and graphics card working. I got WoW installed with the latest patches installed as well.

When I start WoW the only thing that happens is this error. The launcher starts, but as soon as I click play I get this. Can anyone help me?

The application World of Warcraft quit unexpectedly.

Ignore all previos posts with useless information.

I had the same problem, with many other games as well, it's easy to fix

get Marvin's AMD Utility and select "Create patcher package"

and let it scan /Library/Frameworks

it will create a folder on your desktop

afterwards select patch all cpuid's using cpuid file

and again select the folder /Library/Frameworks

and point to the cpuid file it created in the folder on your desktop

and voila, all games will now work on AMD Leopard 10.5.2

enjoy!

and why did you installed that if it worked? drivers are always the same... check if you have QE/CI.... if not, you have to add again your gpu's DEVid to geforce kexts

and yeah.. WOW works on AMD... lol

there's nothing that doesn't work here

I tried that with the same results, no cpuids found

Actually, I tried Marvin's utility in the folder /System/Library/Frameworks. When I tried to run the patch with the CPUID file, it said

WARNING! Patch address verification failed!!! -- Because binary is still encrypted -- Stopping.

But I did this whole process again with more specific level -> /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL... folder, and it worked, and WoW TBC started running! Nice.

This problem was giving me a headache because I go through WoW installs from CDs by installing WoW Classic first (tested and working) then install TBC (breaks WoW after updating WOW classic to TBC) and I had no clue what the hell was going on.
