  1. I got an AMD 3600+ X2 with Zeph's 10.5.2 DVD installed. Got everything setup as far as sound, network, and graphics card working. I got WoW installed with the latest patches installed as well. When I start WoW the only thing that happens is this error. The launcher starts, but as soon as I click play I get this. Can anyone help me? The application World of Warcraft quit unexpectedly. 2. ALC88x 10.4.8 Kext

Scratch out my last post, sound works on all 6 speakers but I have no volume control. The volume is just at max. Not a big problem, but does anyone know how I can control it?
  3. ALC88x 10.4.8 Kext

I installed the ALC888 driver on my 10.5.2 AMD installation and sound only worked on only my back 2 speakers. Followed the guide for 5.1 speakers and got all the speakers setup within Audio Midi Setup, but after that I can't hear any sound. Every speaker makes a hiss noise under configure speakers. The volume control under audio output has no options, no matter what stream I choose, and there's 4 streams. Course the volume control won't allow me to control it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Holy sh*t pickle, it worked. Thanks a lot. Though I think it was my fault, why it didn't work. I didn't enter a password for the user and just left it blank. I gave it a real password and tried your load.command and now I got everything working. Figures, Mac wants a real password, just like Linux.

Pretty much where I'm at. I have this. Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7288 Revision ID: 0x0000 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded I downloaded Zeph's new 10.5.2 DVD for AMD and it came with drivers, but when I booted up the Mac OS X I get an error that says Natit.kext couldn't load. Tried the driver from this thread and it ain't working. I ran the load.command file and restarted my PC, and nothing changed. I really want this working to test out World of Warcraft.

The 256 MB one? That sucks, and I'm like inches away from turning this computer into a Hackentosh. Can someone help us with getting our graphics cards to work?
  7. Work x1950gt pro ! Dev_ID = 0x72801002 and 0x72881002 !

I'm guessing the load.command installs the driver. It loads up Terminal and I enter my password in a few times and it finishes. I restart my PC and no driver loads. Here is what System Profiler says about my Video card. Display: Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7288 Revision ID: 0x0000 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported

Can someone explain how you install these drivers? I'm trying to install the Leopard 10.5.2(9c31) for my Sapphire Radeon 1950 GT. I have a AMD machine using Zeph's latest 10.5.2 DVD, but the ATI drivers that came with it didn't work and when it boots up I get a messege about improperly installing the Natit.kext . Anyone got a step by step guide on how to install these drivers?
  9. ATI Radeon 1950 GT not working

I tried all that but nothing worked. I might be installing the drivers incorrently, again I'm a Mac noob. I downloaded 10_5_2_9c31_7288_.zip and then draged all the extracted files to /system/library/extensions/ . Then I drag the extensions.mkext to the recycle bin and use Disk Utility to repair disk permissions. Then I restart and prey. After restart the card is still ATI UNKOWN CARD, then I decided to download and run Natit from that same link and restart my computer only to never have the Mac never boot up. Just watching the wheel turning forever. I'm sure I'm doing this wrong. I got it from here. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=88079
  10. ATI Radeon 1950 GT not working

Just installed Zeph's latest 10.5.2 DVD and selected the appropriate driver for my ATI video card but it's not installing. I got a Sapphire Radeon 1950 GT and this is what comes up in system profiler. Device ID: 0x7288 Revision ID: 0x0000 BTW yes I'm a noob at Mac.
  11. I've been going crazy to install Mac OSX on my PC. It's a AMD 3400+ X2 with a motherboard using a AMD690G + SB600. My video card is a ATI X1950GT, and have a Maxtor 120gig SATA hard disk. With the current news that 10.5.2 increases gaming performance dramictally, I'm more determined to see Leapard working. Especially since I play World of Warcraft as my main game. Anyway I've tried many versions of Mac X86 from various torrent sites. At this point I don't care if I get Tiger or Leapard to work. Nothing has worked 100%. iKATOS With AHCI enabled ---> Detects HD and begins to install OS but after reboot the BIOS could not find a OS. With SB600 driver found on forums ---> Same results. Kalyway With AHCI enabled ---> Detects HD and begins to install but installation ends with an error. With SB600 driver found on forums ---> Finishes install but BIOS could not find a OS. Jas 10.4.8 AMD+INTEL With AHCI enabled ---> Detects HD and begins to install but system tries to boot with a small X in center screen. With SB600 driver found on the forums ---> Will install and boot only if DVD is in drive. Otherwise BIOS cannot find OS. OS will only boot succesfully once. Uphuck 1.3 With AHCI enabled ---> Detects HD and begins to install OS but after reboot the BIOS could not find a OS. With SB600 driver found on forums ---> Same results. You know how many times I had to burn a DVD? Well anyway, afer that huge mess I honestly don't think anyone here has ever gotten any version of Mac OSX to work on their AMD machine with a AMD chipset based motherboard.
  12. So far I've been trying to install Mac X86 onto my AMD690G + SB600 computer. This is where I'm at. #1 I download iATKOS v1.0i for AMD. Some reason the installing seems to point out that it's made for Intel. #2 I got the SB600 driver from this thread. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...99&hl=sb600 #3 I learned how to install it from this thread. BTW this guy desearves a medal. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...amp;hl=transmac So far with the driver installed iATKOS detected the SATA HD and the installation finished within just 45 minutes. I did not need to enable ahci for iATKOS to detect and install Mac OSX, I have no idea if that's the reason I'm stuck. I haven't tried it. So far when I try to boot into Mac I get a grey screen with a white Apple logo in the center and a small "X" appears. No idea what that means, but I'm sure it's bad. Can anyone please advise me as to what's going on?
  13. Installing Mac X86 on ATI motherboard

That's not a link to a torrent site. That's pretty much standard amounst all forums. As far as SB600 kext I found this one. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=16213 Found it from this thread. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...99&hl=sb600 I'm a noob at this. So do I insert the .kext file into a certain folder or are there commands I need to enter? Also which Mac X86 should I install this onto? So far I've had good luck with iAKTOS v1.0i and Kalyway 10.4.8, but I'd rather get leapard. Kalyway leo 10.5.1 just stops at the apple logo for 10 minutes, at least the version I've got. Also when I insert the SB600 .kext driver into like say iAKTOS will I still need to enable ahci in the bios? BTW, thanks for the reply.
  14. Installing Mac X86 on ATI motherboard

Downloaded Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso and Disk Utility was able to see the CDROM but not the SATA hard disk. Am I doing something wrong?
