monmon
Hey guys, I got a problem. The new update of Leopard OSX made a problem to my computer. My OSX computer doesn't start anymore after the update, Leopard asked me to restart the computer everytime but after restarting the computer for so many times it still doesn't work. It just kept telling me to restart my computer, on the Leopard loading screen. Anyone experienced this problem?

ricki
me too - i think it is about cpu not configured correctly and power management
gizmoarena
It is so much obvious. The latest update ruined your patched kernel. You have nothing to do right now. Reinstall the 10.5.1 again. Do not update 10.5.2 from the "apple software update". Search the forum to know how to manually update to 10.5.2. It's easy.

monmon
so anyone have a trick to solve this problem?
gizmoarena
yeah simple. Fresh install 10.5.1 again. Then follow the tutorial to update to 10.5.2. From the next time please do some searching before you install ANY update. AND obviously backup your data before any critical update (where kernel is involved). aibonlengket
i don't know how to do it, but the i saw it in this board. the fix is: boot into dvd installation and then goto terminal and copy over the kernel to the leopard installation. aibonlengket
i did a new installation eventually but also did kalyway update this time, went well. but the time lag when booting up men is like 10min minimum, any idea on this you use the kalyway update which an update without the kernel. the lag is because yu are using an old kernel. the fix is install the new kernel, but i suggest using the patch kernel from kalyway since your computer cannot use the vanilla.
