networkguy
I'm having the same issue! My LCD only supports up to 75Hz. I cannot even install OS X due to this. When I pass the @75Hz parameter the lcd produces an error, as the installer is attempting to change to 87Hz. Help! Same problem here on VESA 3.0 Geforce 6600 PCIe. Darwin detects VESA 3.0, but when I change the refresh rate in com.apple.Boot.plist the GUI doesn't start instead I get rebootings. In GUI Tiger it seems to be fixed to 1024x768x32@60 Hz. Hurst my eyes, but known problem in the HCL. Hope there'll be a fix soon as 60 Hz isn't fun... cyrana
It is totally dependent on your video card's VESA settings. It is hit or miss at best. The only way to guarantee things working is with a 915 or 945 chipset's onboard video unfortunately.
