Jean-Philippe
Hi, I hope someone can help eheh, I really can't figure out this one by myself I reveived my new pc and installed Kalyway / Efi and got almost no problem. But, one problem persist and is quite anoying : I can't see other Macs on my LAN on my Finder unless I specify the IP with afp:// and I also can't see printers or itunes libraries shared. On the other side, I do see the hackintosh from my real macs (Finder, Itunes) but there is random connection failure. Internet is working without a hitch so it really seems to be a problem with OSX SMB protocole or something like that.. Any idea? Thanks a bunch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86055-cant-see-other-real-macs-on-lan-on-finder-itunes-printers/ Share on other sites
mschilling
How's the wireless networking with your other macs? The reason I ask is that we had a nice wireless printing setup with a G4 14" ibook printing to a G3 powerbook which has a usb printer connected and shared. After upgrading the G4 ibook to Leo, the wireless printer is not available anymore. Hopefully Apple will fix this problem. Leo on my pc isn't any better with the wireless printing. clv101
I have the same problem - can't see network shares through Finder. I can ping the other systems okay, I can set up an FTP server and move data that way, just can't browse through Finder. Anyone have a solution? socal swimmer
I have the same problem. So, I connect via IP address. I put a network drive, as well as a drive attached to another iMac, in my startup items.
