I couldnt get any of the ati kext's to load...

 

so i compile it myself...

here it is for those with a 200M based VGA (laptop)

 

device id is 5955 btw.

 

 

I must be missing somthing but I do not see the kext attached?

 

Can you please attach it or tell me how to download it or what file you edited?

I have 5a62 for Dev ID.

 

Intel?

 

Im on an AMD laptop.. :blink:

 

Oh.. I have the kext somewhere possibly, but it wont load WITH os x.. the terminal using kextload will load however..(sorry, found this out after I tried posting.. and safari wont upload ANYTHING, for me...)

 

I thought this thread poofed when safari was trying to upload it :| 2 days later I find it still here..

 

I'll give it another go tonight and post it here if I can get it in a partially usable state..

mine says 5955 - maybe diferent busses? min eis on pcie

Looks like it is. which would explain the great differences in id number..

 

ANyone have any ideas on how to get these ati drivers working? I'll give a boot a try maybe and grab the error it gives...

 

I'm curious as to how well ati cards work for others... full support? the beta drivers? official? what?

 

Every time I seem to ask someone says ATI PAGE! and they dont have jack there. :(

Radeon XPress 200/M is a PCIe IGP chipset in both it's Intel and AMD versions. No AGP.

 

Anyhow, mine's 5955 too. Any chance fo getting hold of this if it really exists. Just adding the device IDs to the 9700 kext plist sends it doolally, just cycling the whole screen through primary colours.
