Can you post your DSDT? Are you getting QE-CI with full acceleration?

Has anyone tried this with Lion? Says it's MAC compatible. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product....=1&format=2

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 Drivers

I finally got it working with Eulemur FB with EDID injection. I guess I was doing something wrong with the EDID. Finally got it working after 6-7 tries. The instructions are a little hard to follow. Read carefully. However, in my case I can't get VGA working along with my Internal LVDS with extended desktop. Use ATI ROM with Eulemur FB with EDID injection. My laptop is an ACER 3820TG with switchable graphics ATI 5470. My next steps is to try FB patching to match my personality.
  5. Got it working with EDID and Eulemur FB.
  6. I have the same laptop with LION and you're the first person that has it working on internal LCD. Did you need to patch your ATI5000Controller.kext? For me the procedure does not work as the display is never detected. Is it possible for you to post your kexts and dsdt for your laptop?

[100% Working] ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

You seem to have the same personality as mine. I get the same problem. I can get QE/CI working on a connected external VGA. LVDS laptop screen is dark but backlight is on. Without the VGA, I have the same effect on the laptop screen. What I have observerd: 1) Without VGA, LVDS laptop screen is detected on port 1 event though the bios decode shows port 0 for LVDS. 2) With VGA, the VGA monitor is seen as "CRT" on the same port 1 So it seems that they are operating in mirror mode. I've tried various FB and patching with the same negative results. The natural FB dectection seem to be Eulemur in my case. I too have the SenseId=7 for port 0 LVDS but like I said, the detection seems to happen on port 1. I alos tried patching port 1 as LVDS with no results.

    QE/CI TI 5470M with Acer 3820TG

    I used this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=260594
  9. Has anyone got the ATI 5470 working on an Acer 3820TG timelinex? I have a dual graphics but I am using Discrete from Bios. When I use GraphicsEnabler=Y, I get a blank screen. I can ssh into the mac however. I've seen many people claim to have the 5470 working but I was wondering if anyone has managed to get it done on the Acer 3820 tg. Thanks!

    Mobility HD5470 QE/CI !

    I installed your pack but I have the same results: ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver seems to load but I can't seem to find VADriver. My display shows up as "Internal LCD Forced EDID" but I can't get EDID when i use ioreg. I have added it to the *-717 file. I'm sure I'm pretty close. Sly-Mac-Pro:Contents sylvain$ ioreg -l | grep -i x3000 | | | | | "IOOCDBundleName" = "ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver" Sly-Mac-Pro:Contents sylvain$ ioreg -l | grep -i ATI5 | "IOKitDiagnostics" = {"Container allocation"=1432207,"Instance allocation"=2626704,"Pageable allocation"=7561216,"Classes"={"ATI5000Contro

    Mobility HD5470 QE/CI !

Got it working with ATI rom dump in /Extra. But no QE/CI. The AT5000 and X3000 exts are loaded Ok. What else could I check to see why no QE/CI?

    Intel SATA device 3b29

I was in a setup with a NTFS and HFS partition setup with MBR. So I removed the ntfs.kext and I'm getting much better performance.

    Acer Aspire 7740G

Yes. I have a 13.3 inch display. I'm getting 1366x768 native resolution. I don't recall having to do anything special to get it. It just worked. The display is actually quite nice.

    Acer Aspire 7740G

I have a 5470. I'm running in VESA mode (no QE/CI). To do that, I enabled discrete graphics in BIOS and deleted *X3000* and ATI5000* extensions, rebuild caches and reboot.
