modbears
I have this notebook http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/2008/O...15076Rsp2.shtml I've searched a lot and have tried various things, but the keyboard won't work. It doesn't even work during install. Is there anyone who has leopard installed on a laptop that had the same problem and has found a solution? If I can't get this working, then I'm stuck with Vista. Please help me out. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84801-anyone-with-a-working-laptop-keyboard/ Share on other sites

-aKy-
there are various ApplePS2Controller.kexts around the forum here. i think one of them could work for you. simply install osx with a usb keyboard attached and then play around with the ApplePS2Controller.kext. Maybe you'll find a working one. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84801-anyone-with-a-working-laptop-keyboard/#findComment-612239 Share on other sites
modbears
I've messed around with a bunch of them. I'm using kalyway 10.5.1 and it says it includes the acpips2nub which is touted in another thread as the ultimate solution for this problem. I'd love to be proven wrong. Keyboard and sound are the only two things I haven't gotten to work. Seven Silhouette
Keyboard and sound are the only two things I haven't gotten to work. You and me both, buddy. It's the only reason I'm refusing to install OS X on my Gateway laptop right now. I've tried everything with the keyboard and nothing made a drop of difference.
