Jalavoui, I have a spare HP Intel 3945ABG minipic-e card, I would be more than willing to send it to you if that would help the progress here. If this is something that you would like to do, just let me know. Just wanna help anyway I can. Thanks! :)

Last rels give me only freezes (blue screen) on reboot. Complete log with several reboots and shot of the rel 883 KP attached.

My BT is off (kexts IOBluetoothFamily and ...HID... removed, is it enough?), but my card still shows errors with "BT". I can try hack it, and timei, and return rc, but I need more stable release.

Update: rel 887 is ok

system.txt.zip

iwi4965 rel 888

This is the log immediately after adding kext and repairing permissions. Will add the log after reboot shortly.

This is new!

Got this too: (before scan_complete above)

Apr 29 15:33:03 adam-notebook kernel[0]: error iwl4965: ERROR: No TX rate available.

EDIT: Got a KP after a few reboots. Log attached.

systemlog_888.txt

systemlog_888_reboot.txt

systemlog_888_kp.txt

Sorry, still no KP. :) (10 reboots more).

EDIT:

@Gabik123: how do you get a log AFTER your computer gives a KP?

With a horrible camera! XD (i hope not everyone own one as bad as mine.)

As you have seen. after a kp, there is no logs...

Edit 2: No logs from the KP or what caused it...

how do you get a log AFTER your computer gives a KP?

Just reopen Console after rebooting, and click on system.log

Everything should still be there.

That is how I did it, anyways.

Note: my KPs occurred after I had already booted into the OS.

Edit: sorry I misread. There is no way that I know of to log anything AFTER a kernel panic. But I assume that you can get some good hints about the problem by looking at what was logged right before the panic. So I post the log I had up until the KP.

Good evening guys... Just as an effort. I'd like to state my most sincere compliments to everyone whose been constantly putting their efforts to make this wi fi driver (4965AGN) become a true reality.

I wish I had some sort of skills to help in those technical aplicabilities, instead of just sit and cheer to the winners working so hard.

Again! Congratulations!

I'll keep on believing it will happen...

on rel 888 I get a KP after having this line repeat after about 10 mins. doubt its helpful at all, anyone else up? Nice logs adamsint

Sorry to pester, but would someone with the ability mind building the 10.5 iwi2200.dmg from the latest svn as Jalavoui has requested? I among others have been eagerly waiting to test, as the current svn latest DMG isn't working and I have no internet access on the machine currently to proceed. Thx much..

I'll get working on the installation package, give me around an hour from this post.

edit: the kext/networkSelector/nsGUI.app in the latest installation package show a last-modified date of April 21st.

the most recent modification uploaded to the SVN on iwi2200.cpp was on April 17th.

I don't have a 2200 to test, but the installation package in the disk image file on the SVN appears to be up to date.

Also how do I figure out exactly which wireless card I have?

Plop open the proper panel on your laptop and take a look at the label on the card?

(I have no idea what laptop make you have, so it's hard to actually give "universal" directions for this)

it will be done when it is done. mad props to J for helping us dev a card he doesn't even have. if you guys would like to help, i'm sure we can get through it even faster. devoid posted some awsome directions on how to do this, thats how I learned, there is a link to them on J's first post on the first page of this thread. Its pretty easy to dev

I don't have that card or drivers, but try this.

Restart your computer, and at the boot screen type:

-x -v -s

Hit Enter. Once it gets done loading to a command prompt, type:

mount -uw /

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/iwi2100.kext

Hit enter. It worked if you didn't get any errors.

next, type 'reboot', minus the quotes, and hopefully your system comes back up.

Good luck

Hmm i tried but nothing happened when i types mount -uw or the rm lines and when i press reboot, it reboots and i still have the problem. did i type something wrong? I didn't show any error

Try remove extensions.mkext:

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

It could help you.

The .mkext didn't work but the -x -v worked and i booted in safe mode. I went to the file and found the iwi2100.kext but i coudn't delete it cause of insufficeint previlages. Anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks for the help so far!

You need sudo command in teminal.

sudo root(enter)

type your root password( enter)

Then you can remove that kext. By the way you should remove extensions.mkext also. It would let you boot up without any error.

Hope you get your hac back!
