linux4guru
I looked inside the .zip file and it contain two directories. 1. _MACOSX 2. KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3 So if I used Windows to extract this..., it will be in ISO format? riahc3
Not to be rude or anything, but if you don't even know what a .zip or buring to burn a .zip, you shouldnt even be trying to install OSX on x86 machines. linux4guru
Hi riachc3, Really thanks for lovely reply. You are not RUDE at all. Just not being helpful! I have already look inside this .zip file there is no ISO extension in it. BTW, I use ubuntu - not Windows. scriptx
Not sure how to do it on Linux, but I found that not all archive applications are created equal when attempting to unzip the file. On Windows, the only application I could get to unzip the file and come out with the correct MD5 was WinRar. May or may not be an issue. CompCrasher86
Hmm I used to use ubuntu but I was never that good, thats why I am switching to OSX, lol. You probably have two items inside the ZIP, the one that says MACOSX is a folder if I am correct and you can just ignore it. The Kalyway Leo file is most likely the biggest file and is the iso. I am sorry for assuming you don't know what an iso is but it is basically an "image" or a copy of a dvd (in this case a install DVD) compiled into one file. If you check the size of the kalyway leo file it should be a couple gigabytes big. Basically you want to use an iso burning tool (again I am not sure how it works in ubuntu) and burn it to a DVD that will leave you with a bootable DVD. **Make sure you are not just copying the ISO file directly to the DVD. What I mean is if you end up with a DVD with just one file (the ISO) on it, then you messed up.** I suggest using a Windows platform to at least burn the iso because I don't think many people around here come from linux. linux4guru
Will give that a try Comprasher86. I guess I will try to extract them in a directory and create the ISO from commandl line. Thanks,Thanks for the heads up, scriptx...
