Problems with iAtkos v1.0ir2...

Problem #1: There is NO "Darwin_Boot" at all in my utilities menu...

Problem #2: Well I searched a lot on the net and forums about this problem... here is the picture:

Seems normal right? Well every time I press "enter" or even try to start up in -x,-v,-s,-f,-legacy, etc. it will only restart that screen. It wont let me boot into any of that. It doesn't even think when I press enter at all. It doesn't even do the whole "reboot loop" that you guys talk about. It just stays "as is" and I can't boot ino leopard. Any ideas any one?

EDIT: By the way, my computer specs are as follows:

Toshiba Satellite x205-S9359

2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7300

Mobile Intel PM965 Express Chipset

2gb RAM

Dual SATA HDD 320gb

NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT

I'll share my experiences & see if they help!

My 1st problem - the DVD drive needed to be set up as the "master" using IDE. Without this, I had problems getting the install disk boot.

After that I needed to get my HD set up as the boot disk. To do that, I used the GParted disk to set the boot disk( and to reset it on the other drives), then reinstall Dawin(for some reason I needed to do Gparted/Darwin twice before it worked).

I had the same problem, but when I manually changed the boot order to boot from my CD/DVD drive it worked like a charm.

Jared is correct. You need to set your DVD drive to slave (assuming that it is on the same IDE cable as your hard drive) and set it to boot BEFORE your hard drive. If you are unsure of how to do this, you may need to post your specs and someone with your motherboard will be able to help you. This may not be your only problem, but you must do these things anyway for any installation of OSX, so might as well give it a shot.

Ok, so I now have some more things to try in order to get Leopard to work (problem #2) to work.

But what about my problem #1? The DVD boots just fine and everything, I have leopard installed and ready to go, it's just that problem #2 wont let me get into leopard. Ok, for problem #1, there is NO Darwin_Boot whatsoever in my utilities menu on the installation disk... What's up with that? I have Iatkos v1.0ir2 and to my knowledge it should be there. The DVD image i downloaded is 2.44gb and everything... What's up with that? Do you think problem #2 is related to problem #1 (not having darwin_boot option)?
