settolo
Colin (the contest's guy) is reporting that someone is running Win and Linux on iMac (new with Intel CPU) using Xen (http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?p=11), but that it is not possible to run also MacOS at the same time. If it is true, why should not be possible to dual boot between Xen (which boots win or linux) and MacOS, instead of booting only Xen and then pretend to boot MacOS from there? Swad
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that guy has sold out - from the idea of a contest he's now starting his own whole Mac network. Kinda lame, IMO. I think it's because OS X doesn't support XEN yet.
settolo
I think it's because OS X doesn't support XEN yet. Yeah, but what about booting OS X directly OR booting XEN and then, from XEN, Windows or Linux?
DrJägermeister
Yeah, but what about booting OS X directly OR booting XEN and then, from XEN, Windows or Linux? For XEN you need a modified kernel. It works for Linux & Unix but not for Windows. Future versions of XEN in combination with VT will fix that. Computer Guru
XEN is virtualization... doesn't count.
settolo
XEN is virtualization... doesn't count. Yeah, I did not realize it is virtualization and it does not give access to the grafic card. Sorry.
