Hamb0ne Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 I got everything installed on my XPS 710- GPU, SOUND,etc... but one problem. i have a broadcom Xtreme gigabit Ethernet 57xxx (IDV1677) Kalyway 10.50.1 installed the driver out of box but it has MAC address at 00:00:00:00:00. when i connect the Ethernet in, it says connected and turns Green. but unable to surf the WEB. its because my mac address are Zeros. how can i fix this? gizmoarena Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 you cannot change the MAC address. get a new cheap ethernet card. that would make your leopard perfect instantly. btw, just curious - do you have Line in enabled on leopard? Hamb0ne Posted January 20, 2008 Author Share Posted January 20, 2008 yes, line out- digital line out and line in. sigmatel 9227. i used the installer.zip file plain and simple. i wanted my CREATIVE XFI TO WORK so i went to their DRIVER site and they had a section with MAC OSX. but theres no drivers in there -,- ANYONE WITH DELL GOT THEIR BROADCOM 57XX WORKING? I have same problem in my laptop compac6710b with Toh10.5, using a belkin usb wireless card (v.4) I dont have problems changing MAC address in vista, xp and ubuntu but I cant do nothing in Leopard.
