cnkaiser
I met the problem of "grey screen with mouse cursor", and some posts said I need to replace the AppleSMBIOS.kext. I download one, and it is a rar file, as "AppleSMBIOS.kext.rar", but if I unfold it, it is a folder named as"AppleSMBIOS.kext". Is it normal? I should put this folder to a usb key and replace it at terminal? Or it should be a file? I am confused. Anyone may help me? Many thanks.
Lactobacillus P
kexts are in fact 'folders' or dictories. As are the icons of applications.

I mean, if I download the rar file under windows, what should I do? Unfold it and put the folder to the usb key?
RollingMac
you can see it as a folder under windows under mac, it's a file, but you can "show contents" to see its contents, so I will say it's a packed file.
