andyph666
I got a thinkpad x60, it goes into sleep mode but when I wake it up. It doesn't work, it shows up the boot up screen and then shows a security message saying that it is tampered with an error code of 0192. Any ideas? I turned it off the security chip that is and that didn't work either.

Robert-OSX
x60 with Atheros WIFI iATKOS, EFI no appleACPIPlatform (better for Battery indicator) + AppleSMBIOS (for sleep) Do you get a fully functional x60 (except sleep !) with Kalyway ? andyph666
That's odd, I can't even boot into iatkos because it keeps rebooting when i press something at the darwin loader. Everything else works but sleep, battery indicator and the brightness buttons. Its too bad I have the 3945abg might switch it out for the atheros. Do you have any idea where the wireless card is located on the laptop?
Robert-OSX
Once you've setuo iATKOS, remove the DVD, then you'll get a proper start. You can get all necessary information regarding the removal of the WIFI card at:http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-62866.html
George Tall
I got a thinkpad x60, it goes into sleep mode but when I wake it up. It doesn't work, it shows up the boot up screen and then shows a security message saying that it is tampered with an error code of 0192. Any ideas? I turned it off the security chip that is and that didn't work either. I also have a x60s and I currently have Kalyway 10.5.2. Before I upgrade (when I had 10.5.1) I was able to put the computer to sleep and wake it up easily. However, I had to use the Sleep option in the Apple menu, then close the laptop screen, then reopen the screen to get it to awake. If I tried to wake the computer up with the power button, the computer would restart and I would get the 0192 error. Try using the screen open/close sensor to wake up the computer rather than the power and tell me if that works.

MacTabletPC
Any updates? Any way to get this error away? I've got X60 with 10.5.3 Leopard after the JAS update - I'm blogging about it on my blog: MacTabletPC Blog
rschultz101
break through! working no more 0192 error, http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry793783 Well, I did it a long time ago now, but here is what I can say to help: 1. Replace your SMBIOS kext with a one declaring that you are running on a macbook Go to MacNub's site: http://my.macdotnub.info/ and download the corresponding kext Replace the kext as usual (refer to the numerous forum posts for fixing permissions and rebooting with -f to force the kextcache rebuild) 2. Boot in safe mode and verify that suspend does work At the boot prompt, press F8 and then load OSX with the -x command line option, ie type: F8 <return> -x <return> and that should be it Once booted, check if the ACPILPC is associated with any of your hardware resources: ioreg -l | grep -i ACPILPC this command should not return any result, indicating that the kext is not loaded Try FN-F4 to see if the machine goes to sleep and /resumes/ correctly. 3. Now reboot in normal mode, ie without the -x option and check again for the ACPILPC extension. This time you should find that the kext is loaded and associated with your hardware. Please note the pci IDs of the HW associated with ACPILPC. You may have to use a full ioreg -l | more and search for ACPILPC (note: use '/' to search while in "more" mode). FN-F4 and resume should fail now. So the trick is to edit /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleACPILPC.kext/Contents/Info.plist and comment out the pci line to avoid the kext to match with the HW. In my case, the file was edited to look like : <key>IONameMatch</key> <array> <-- <string>pci8086,27b9</string> --> <string>pci8086,27bd</string> <string>pci8086,2670</string> </array> fix perms and reboot with -f to force the cache clean 4. Check that ACPILPC is not loaded but that the rest of the system does work, ie graphic acceleration, etc.; try FN-F4 and resume and it should be ok Hope this helps thanks to dRkLePtO , daveb4 it works with power adapter too, and slot battery, now if somebody can get the throttle/speedstep working, it be great. other big problem, no quadro 140m support, not working,....
