wesley
I'm not sure about the ATI chipset, but the CPU itself is kosher... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7971-osx86-on-amd-turion-64/#findComment-50076 Share on other sites
zodiacchatter
chances are it's using the ati xpress 200 chipset w/ the ati rs480 (or something simlar) southbridge. this is common on hp and compaq. if this is the case, two things will be working against you. 1) the ps2 controller kext will prohibit booting and if you get that fixed 2) the hard drive does not have dma access and is therefore very slow. aPpLeFrEaKpEePs
Hey! I have installed the deadmoo image successfully on a HP laptop with Turion ML-30 procesor and x200mobile chipset. Use the fix for x200 chipset present in the forums to solve all the problems with the ps2 controller and the ultra-dma ata issue. the only problem is the 1024*768 VESA 2.0 display. If you still cant solve the problem, mail me at f2005180@bits-pilani.ac.in. I will mail you the kexts/upload it..
