Sorry if this is an FAQ but I couldn't find any clear answer on this forum. After desperately trying to get my TI xx12 Cardbus to work with Leopard, I gave up and now looking for Wireless USB solution for my laptop. Can anyone please recommend a wireless usb adapter that works 100% with leo? Is there anything that is proven to work 100% out of the box?

Thanks a lot!

I can confirm that the belkin usb wireless G MIMO card works with Leo, in fact i'm posting from one right now. I just picked up the card only so I have no idea if the drivers are included in the packaging but you can download them from the belkin website.

only issues with the card are the hideous interface for the belkin network utility and it doesn't seem to work with kismac.

Can you please post the exact model (or perhaps a link to the product page)?

So Leo doesn't recognize it as an Airport card, right?

the model # as listed is f5d9050

and no, it does not work as an airport card.

the card is not cheap but if you have had trouble with internal cards or external pc card wireless then this solution is guaranteed to work.

Great, thank you very very much! I just ordered one from Amazon (the cheapest one I could find, the price is about $55 w/free shipping). Hope it will work <_<

Hi!

Im thinking of buying that card but on their site http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid...5925&scid=0 i cant find the drivers for Leo.

email_atif: yes i'm using wusb54g v4.

i installed using the same method on Tiger. Edit Info.plist of the kext, the only difference is i use the updated ralink utility (found at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=33896). since i already have working wireless on Tiger, i don't want to mess it up with more experiment using the new utility.

I've created a zip file containing the files i used to make linksys wusb54g v4 work on leopard.

Thanks for the great insight, I have been trying different USB wireless adapters with no success. This one worked right out of the box!

i too can confirm that the f5d9050 v4 works in Mac OS X 10.5.2 (kalyway flavor) i just had to download the drivers from belkin, plug it in at bootup and connect and bam i am online.

my spartan have a internal 4965 agn card which isnt supported in mac os x anyway. the drivers were for 10.4 but they work fine in 10.5 i am listening to streaming audio and posting from my laptop.

i usta have a f5d8053 v4 but it had problems with dropping connection randomly i had to replug it to get it to work only to have it drop it again

i must say this Wireless G MIMO usb from belkin is a good performer.

you can also use Zyxel or D-Link, both with Ralink drivers.

i have both, tested and runing on my hp dv9780ez with iDeneb 10.5.5.

just missing hp webcam, waking from sleep and mute on alc268...
