After succesfull installation into my SA2053T Notebook I have strange problem

On "Do You Already Own a Mac"(after video demo) Window I have to select "Do not transfer my information now" but after it window didn`t out any activity, only busy mouse cursor

Any help will be nice for me

The same trouble with

- vanilla kernel,

- installed sse2 patch,

- tohkernel 9.1.0,

- full extensions from Kalyway DVD 9.1.0

How to skip that window? May be some boot parameters? Disabled kexts?

May be there is some functionality for transfer my user profile from another leo installed system, but not via fireware or another volume or time machine? There is a real problem for me (((

> /sbin/fsck -fy this need if you reset your comp on registration steps

> /sbin/mount -uw / mountig all devices

> /passwd root to make the root password

> touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone finishing registration assistant

I tried your tips but dont work for me , when i runned the terminal in -s

that is the last lines after terminal loaded,

Singleuser boot - - fsck not done

Boot device is mounted read only

If you want to make modifications to files

/sbin/fsck -fy

-sbin/mount -uw -/

and i type your first and second line without any problem , but when i type the following line :

/passwd root

(i tried many wariations , example : /passwd only or /root passwd) , and allways got error message , dont possible command or something like ,

if you can plz help me , in my problem .

thanks!

my config:

Asrock 4Core Dual

P4 HT 3Ghz (HT functions setted disabled in bios)

2GB RAM 1x1GB667Mhz and 1x1GB800Mhz run in dual channel

160GB seagate PATA

Philips DVD only reader PATA

(drives in same cable, in IDE1 , winchester master , dvd slave )

Hi There!

I have been trying to get a dual boot set up Win XP and Mac OS on my SA2053T. I would really appreciate if you could guide me in getting that set up. Also, I dont have the Mac OSx86 DVD with me. Could you tell me how I can get hold of it. I just wanna try Mac and if I like it I will buy the OS, but for the meanwhile I wanted to try it along side Win XP and see how it goes. My email address is abhavni@yahoo.com.

Thanks in Advance,

Abhavni

had the same problem, but solved it now.

@MondayRiot: Maybe to late :)

your username is: root

an your password, is that one you type in the console.

after that you can add a new user in SystemPreferences-Accounts
