Just managed to successfully install 10.5.1 from kalyway on this config:

Gigabyte P35 DS4 rev 1.0 Bios F7

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3.9Ghz (488Mhz FSB)

2x1 Gb Ram Corsair 6400 EPP

XFX 8800 GTS 320MB XT

ALC889A onboard

Samsung 320GB Sata2 on ICH9R SATA port 1 (Windows XP partition + NTFS data partition)

Samsung 400GB Sata2 on ICH9R SATA port 2 (HFS+ Leopard partition + FAT32 partition + NTFS data partition)

Plextor DVD-RW on last ICH9R SATA port.

From bios:

Jmicron disabled

ICH9R all set to AHCI native

Maxcpu_id disabled

Virtualization disabled

CPU Thermal disabled

Execute disable bit enabled

Installing directly from kaly at first attempt it was successfull but after reboot it couldn't boot and I got the blinking cursor problem.

As Dune31 suggested I:

-deleted the whole partitions on my second HDD drive

-did "set to zero" for some seconds

-recreated the partitions with the same partition scheme as above (HFS+ Leopard partition + FAT32 partition + NTFS data partition)

-choose MBR type

-formatted the Leopard partition again with HFS+ and "set to zero" option till the end.

After this I reinstalled with kaly dvd and everything was fine and it just booted.

Options selected during install:

-Both Vanilla kernel options

-EFI MBR support

I'm using XP bootloader with chain0 method for booting.

At first boot I did a software update since Internet is working already out of the box.

Rebooted and installed ALC889A drivers (see here)

Rebooted and installed 8800 GTS drivers with updated OpenGL (see here)

Everything working fine, EFI, QE/CI, audio !

Hope this can be useful for someone.

But what if I only have 1 HDD that I already have Vista installed on partition and OSX on another partition? I can't deleted whole partition on the drive because I dont want to lose Vista...so what can I do? Can someone please help me? (I have similar board (P35-DS3R))

how did oyu get the ethernet to work?

EDIT: NVM, I figured that you gotta enable audio in the bios. For some reason the lan switches off when the feature is turned off.

I'm having a new issue though. I've been using the old apple pro keyboard with windows. however, now with leopard, i find that most of the keys aren't working. like delete doesn't work, eject doesn't work, etc... lol what the heck?

Here is my xbench score: I have no idea how this score ranks with everyone else, but the system seems snappy and fast.

System spec: Gigabyte P35-DS4; Intel E6750, 4GB 4-4-4-12 Corsair XMS2, XFX 8600GTS.

Okay I just successfully installed..but now I have a nVidia 7900 GS card...and QE is not supported plus the resolution is very low :) How do I fix that? I have to install Natit or NVInject? Because I thought after you have EFI you don't need all that?

Please help!

U need to use NVInject 0.1.5 and all will be fine!

hi I got kaly leopard (GUID partiton) and winxp installed on respective hard drives. But when I try to dual boot with chain0, tboot or acronic os select, all failed. tboot said" HFS partition could not be found", Acronis OS Select doesn't even support the GUID ...

Any ideas of it?

Many thanks.

you need to use mbr. if you want guid, then you should get an extra drive and dedicate that to osx while xp with the other.
