    Working 512mb Nvidia card

Strange, I did reply already. Here again. Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunate, this was the first thing that I did try. It is even i there right now. Did also try several other settings. Do you have some other ideas? I did read about flashing the rom. The site where I did see it a long time ago, is disappeared. Is there somewhere else still info available? Thanks again.

    Working 512mb Nvidia card

Hi, I know we are moved in time, but I can't get my 7300GT card to work. Do you know if there are things changed? I have 10.5.6 and it hangs because of the NVDAResman.kext If I remove it or do an -x boot then it works, but still then also no resizing choices or QE etc. Do you have some more suggestions?
  5. The image should show the second image from post #01. This tool where can I find it? What is its name? Thanks
  6. Hi, That's great to read. I have the same mobo but with an Asus 7300GT 512Mb Silent. Busy with it right now. A question, however, did you get ide managed to work? Thanks in advance.
  7. Dear Hackers, on my EP45-DS3P I have JMicronATA installed but stil don't see the IDE drive and IDE CDRom. [edit] forgot to mention that I am using 10.5.6 Do I need to install some more? Leopard on Gigabyte GA EP45-DS3P

Hello All I didn't get a install dvd running. Always waiting for..... Then what I did was install it on an IDE drive on another mac. Did connect this drive with an USB - IDE cable to my hackintosh. At that moment I could only boot from that drive in safe mode. I did figure out that this was my graphic card. Did remove NVDAResman*.kext files. Did use Universal Installer to set the graphic card settings. Then I could start in a normal user mode. I have still a few issues. One of them is IDE. I have JMicronATA installed but stil don't see the IDE drive and IDE CDRom. And I noticed that I have installed /System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleKauaiATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleKiwiATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePCCardATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/KeyLargoATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePCCard16ATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext.orig /System/Library/Extensions/ACard6280ATA.kext Maybe those and others are to much and do I have a conflict! Does someone have an idea or suggestion? Thanks in advance Whoopi

    Leopard on Gigabyte GA EP45-DS3P

Hello everybody. I also did download leo4all and ideneb ( forgot the exact name ) but all of them did give the waiting for root device. This al happens during booting from the iso ( burned on dvd ). Is there some information about this board and what I could change inside the iso to get leo installed? I did see this board in the motherboard list that this board should work, but..... not for me unfortuniate. PLease help needed. Thanks in advance Whoopi
  10. Hi, I would like of course like you all, install Leopard on my Hackintosh. I did download the Kalyway 10.5.2 and the iPC_OSx86_10.5.6 images. Both they give the waiting for the root device notification. Both happens after the firewire security check ( I dont think the ' waiting for root device' have to do something with that firewire line ). My configuration: Mainboard : Gigabyte GA-EP-45-DS3P CPU : Intel Q6600 QuadCore RAM : 8Gb Kingston KVR8002N6K2/4G DVD : IDE Apple DVD -R/-W DISK : 1 Sata spinpoints HD301 1Tb 1 Sata WD 2500AAJS 250Gb 1 IDE WD 120Gb 1 usb WD Sata 80Gb 2,5" Graph Card : Asus EN7300GT Silent So my guess is that the Bios need some changes. Does someone knows what the setting should be for Sata? Now I am using Sata Raid/AHCI Mode : AHCI Sata Port 0-3 Native mode : Enabled Is there a specific guide/tutorial for the EP45-DS3P? I did google but couldn't find any. Thanks in advance, LA

    find and remove on macosx

Hi, Thanks I think we going the wrong direction. If I use the find . -name "__MACOSX" -exec rm.... this works, but searches to many volumes. Just need the 'find' working using a path. I also have a script and an automator whats do the job, but now I need also a shell script. Thanks again.

    find and remove on macosx

Hi I would like to remove the '__MACOSX' folders and their contents from a volume and path '/Volumes/dba/Downloads/' I thought I have to use find /Volumes/dba/Downloads -name “__MACOSX” -exec rm -Rvf {} \; I did try find . /Volumes/dba/Downloads -name “__MACOSX” -exec rm -Rvf {} \; find /Volumes/dba/Downloads/ -name “__MACOSX” -exec rm -Rvf {} \; find /Volumes/dba/Downloads/* -name “__MACOSX” -exec rm -Rvf {} \; but none are working. This is working but search for unnecessary volumes. find . -name "__MACOSX" What do I wrong? Thanks for your help.
  14. Before you react this way, please ask if someone did search. I did search, even spend more then five hours including reading the kalyway topics. Also in the HCL list there is no mention of a graphic onboard well working board. And your link was very helpfull. Sigh, you'r so helpfull. B.t.w I did install on two laptops tiger and leopard, with searching the forum. Maybe someone else can help me more serious.
