spanakorizo
since yesterday that i installed kalyway dvd i tested a lot ,everything was working ok but final cut wouldn't start and this was the major thing for me today i realised that in this release there is another kernel ,tohkernel so i said ok let's try boot with this kernel and now final cut starts! even the other programms that crashed (motion, qmaster etc) now start ok anybody have a clue about this? why specially with tohkernel and not vanilla? i'd like to use the vanilla kernel again cause it's the real thing ,updates etc big question but maybe somebody had also the same problem

shinmemkuf
As far as I know, some of the pro apps have a problem with ProKit.framework. With newer versions of the framework, Everything will work except final cut, compressor, and motion (if you are having that problem in the first place) and with older versions only final cut works. Not sure why and how to get them all to work.
macintox
Working fine here, with stock kernel and last prokit framework.
shishnit
Final Cut was pretty much the ONLY reason I wanted a mac/hackintosh, and it doesn't work for me either. Pretty much every application works, except final cut (haven't tried motion though), but soundtrack pro and compressor work fine. Not sure what kernel I have installed, if any... I will look into prokit framework and maybe a different kernel...
silver dolphin
I don't have SSE3 so I'll be using TOH. No trouble for me (I hope) FCS and LS are the only reasons I'm switching. Ahh,, if only there was maya
shishnit
Final Cut Pro 5 now works after I installed prokit and rebooted the computer! Thanks for this thread, it definitely helped me!
