PROTOOLS 9 is already cracked and online...

doenst need extra hardware (you can run in your onboard card too)

its working rock solid

Did you have to tweak anything to get PT9 working vs PT8?

(moving my post from the ProTools HD thread)

I had someone just set my Hackintosh up. I installed PT9 and it worked perfectly, at first. Now it won't launch at all (the icon jumps up and down in the dock, then settles after a few minutes, no loader window ever appears, it continues to run in the background taking up 100% of one of the cores, and cannot select PT in the menu).

I tried:

-clean uninstall

-deleted Library/Application Support/Digidesign

-unistalled coreaudio driver

-deleted Applications/Digidesign

-deleted digidesign files in Library/Preferences

-Repaired registry

-re-installed PT9

-updated most recent coreaudio drivers

-also tried upgrading PT8

-and several variances..

I can get PT8 running perfectly on it, but if I try to upgrade to Pro Tools 9 it won't launch anymore.

The only thing I changed was moving some of the VSTs (Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST) and installing SoundFlower, because of Adobe issues. (I tried uninstalling SoundFlower and moving the VSTs back, too)

I'll keep you posted..

THANK YOU.

System:

Gigabyte GA EX58 UD3R LGA 1366 X58 R

you have to run PT9 by the loader and not the original icon

the loader is cracked

run PT9Loader , and make sure you have xcode installed on your hackintosh

Oh, I purchased PT9. PT9Loader? Sorry, I am such the newbie right now. I thought I installed XCode but I don't see it. I will install it anyway because I need it.

A local guy told me I would need to buy his cracked version for it to work.. :(

How did you go about setting up your hackintosh? I have a brand new pc and would LOVE to get this working. I will be doing the same thing as you and want to run snow leopoard SOLELY for Pro Tools 9. My goal here is choose Windows 7 or Snow Leopard when i turn my computer on. I will have seperate internal HDD for each. I'm so stoked you got this to work!!

If you can please go into further detail about what you used to install OSX to your PC?

Thanks!!

Kevin,

I hired a guy to do it for me. He installed Empire EMI which allows you to then install OSX from the original disc, then cloned his drive because we had similar hardware.

Sorry, I don't know how to do it but here are some links he gave me:
