The Raton Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 I have a FJS e8110 with atheros 5006eg. I tried everything in this forum, my card doesn't show in network no matter what I do. That in all the 10.4.6. 10.4.8 10.4.9 and 10.4.10 installations. ( I am very insistent, am I not?) Now I have Leo Brasilianpatch running with efi 5.1 and I even managed to update to 10.5.1 from apple. In AirportAtheros.kext my card specs are correct(pci168,1c) but the kext doesn't load on boot, and if I load it manually it sais that it is loaded succsesfully but the card doesn't show up. Also, in system profiler, under extensions, the kext appears as loaded and has no missing dependecies, everything seems fine. What could be the problem? I have another partition with XP on the same disk and there the card works fine. I'm totally clueless. Please, somebody whith knoledge, help me have a fullworking mac. skyfox Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Raton, did you ever find a solution to this? I got the same problem on Kalyway 10.5.2. The card is detected and all the kexts load fine. But no sign of an airport card in network sys prefs and no icon. This is on a Sony NR110E with Atheros AR5006X. Everything else works fine.
