I have seen some topics covering how to get a PCI Linksys WMP54g v4.0 wireless card working, but none of these methods have worked for my 4.1 version.

I believe this is due to the fact that 4.1 uses Broadcom drivers instead of 4.0's Ralink 2500. (I am still pretty new to this whole thing so correct me if I'm wrong.) I was able to get this card working (after many long painful hours) on my Ubuntu partition using ndiswrapper. Is there something similar to this that would allow me to install a Windows driver on the Mac?

I am running Mac OSX 10.4.8? I just updated it to 10.4.11, but I don't think the kernel got updated (again, I am new and don't understand how everything works yet).

Also, when I updated to 10.4.11 the dialog box that shows about this mac causes the system to log out. I have seen a fix for this before, I just don't know what to call it so I don't know what to search for :) Just send me a link to a guide or something and this noob will shut up and be happy :)

Let me know if anybody has gotten the PCI Linksys WMP54g v4.1 working and what they did to get it working. Thanks all!

I'm surprised that you havent been able to find a solution to this seeing how the broadcom chipset is actually EASIER to get working than the ralink chipset (4.0).

try this: How to: Solutions for Ethernet Problems

These are all for wired cards. My card is wireless.

Hi All,

I've recently got one of these Linksys WMP43G v4 cards.....I know there's been much discussion about getting them to work but after reading tons about the subject I'm still no nearer to success. If anyone has a solution for this card and OSX 10.4.11 I'd really appreciate a post about it. :(

Thanks in advance for any replies
