I rried to install x1700 drivers but i can't. can somebody tell me what files i need, and what procedure i have to follow? what reapair files mean ? thanks a lot. Send me the Atiinject.kext, ATINDRV.kext and ATIRadeonx1000.kext you are using and i'll let you know what can be done. The video card works fine only on the external monitor, but on the internal never. The correct framebuffer for our card is Caretta (for X1700 is Wormy i think) Can you help Me ? Hope are useful. Many thanks for trying to help me RightEye! I tried your ATIinject setup but it didn't give the expected result: after the reboot, I had a black screen (I saw the injected values). I could switch between internal and external display but when on the internal display, I had a nice plain blue screen (I don't have a monitor to connect on the external connector). I tried several days to have my setup working properly, and used the ATIinject attached to this message. Yesterday, only once, my OSX booted with the correct resolution. During few seconds, I was so surprised and tried to check the resolution in the "display" preferences dialog box. I double-clicked so that my action was understood (by the OS) as a resolution change. It changed and I could not seen anything anymore. Then I was unable to go back to the correct resolution and had to re-install the OS. After that short period of hope and long period of sadness, I haven't been able to redo the same changes. There's one point that sounds odd to me: the "vanilla" (installed) iDeneb v3 (10.5.5) ATIRadeonX1000.kext contains already the correct vendorID/deviceID for my card. So that I expected that it would be directly loaded. Would you have an idea? Many thanks for your help! righteye Posted January 2, 2009 Author Share Posted January 2, 2009 Mastodont ... delete Atiinject.kext from Extensions folder and use this files Mastodont_kexts.zip azeaze sorry i give you files for 10.5.5 system, try the files from my first post, first page of this topic ... are 2 possibilities for NO LGU 10.5.2 system and one solution for LGU and after use this azeaze_NatitX1700.kext.zip garnould try this Natit based on DiaboliK's one ... garnould_NatitX1700.kext.zip super_engine i see that you succeeded to enable Qe/Ci and i understand that there is no solution for res-change ... you will need an injector such as Atiinject or Natit. personal i use Atiinject but for you i recommend Natit. get one from above and just change the EDID wit the right one. it must do the job ... We can compare and see where is the difference ... important is to see if there is a difference on ATINDRV, ATIRadeonX1000, AppleACPIPlatform, IOACPIFamily, IOGraphicsFamily, IONDRVSupport, IONVRAMFamily and IOPCIFamily righteyes_MacZEN_Extensions_loaded.rtf It MUST be possible to resolve the problem. If i add "@0,display-dual-link=2" lcd spilt in 4 part and backlight not wort but delete "@0,display-dual-link" and add "@0,backlight-PWM-freq=190000" backlight work. But can't shutdown or restart normal must push power button and hold about 5 second. Sometime my machine show only dark screen or blue line May be all fault is vga card.
