Problems: Radeon X1600 Pro produces an artifact on clicking, and I must set resolution Manually. using ATIRadeonX1000.kext driver. NO Audio Input like before. Problem booting. Just hit F8 twice off boot DVD to get it to boot to disk0s1. (Help?) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68303-leopard-success/ Share on other sites

OryHara
Does your front row work for watching previews? and your booting problem, did you post patch it with a new kernel? Yes, works perfect, & Halo demo (non-UB) runs like a dream at high res. Yes, the kernel is patched, but I think it has something to do with the MBR, or boot record to aim it at said kernel. svsmurf
Yes, the kernel is patched, but I think it has something to do with the MBR, or boot recordto aim it at said kernel. I had boot problems too - just insert the boot loader manually, like you would if you were using BrazilMac's second method (install from partition) • Ok, now lets put the file “boot1h” in the beginning of the partition: In terminal, browse to the i386 folder inside the 9a581-patch folder. Then type this: sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsx bs=512 count=1 • Now, lets run the startup tool to embed the boot code: sudo startupfiletool -v /dev/rdiskXsx boot • And last, lets give the pope’s blessing to the partition: sudo bless -device /dev/diskXsx -setBoot –verbose Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68303-leopard-success/#findComment-486027 Share on other sites
