bigjohnjr
Can I put osx on my HP dv4000 laptop and still keep xp? I have a 100gig hard drive in it, I have partition magic installed so I can split the drive into 2 but can I dual boot it and will osx work on it? Will my wireless work and my touchpad and so on function. One my desktop I have no problems and I dual boot but I use 2 drives. Thanks John Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6493-hp-dv4000-laptop/ Share on other sites
fireshark
Touchpad: My synptics 6.2 works fine. Wireless: Nothing works. Broadcom has themost hope, followed by Intel, then Atheros. Hagar
I am typing this from a test install on that very machine.. only wierdness appears to be deciding which display, either or both, it wants to use.. otherwise gfx, network kb touchpad & sound all appear fine @ first test Edited January 26, 2006 by Hagar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6493-hp-dv4000-laptop/#findComment-48484 Share on other sites
Urbz
dv4000!!! YOU SPEAK MY LANGUAGE!!! all works well but wireless and card-reader. Needs external monitor or homebrew solution (check thread in "Genius Bar") to boot. Touchpad tapping needs driver. Find it in this forum! post back if you need help! -Urby Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6493-hp-dv4000-laptop/#findComment-48490 Share on other sites
