2.66ghz Pentium D...why are my xbench results so bad?

I decided to build a new hackintosh because the current setup I had was too slow. I decided to buy a MSI 945gm3 mobo and also a Pentium D 805 2.66ghz. I saw that a few people had this setup and everything ran super smooth. I'm not getting the same results. Could someone help me understand what my problem would be...

The new rig's specs is...

MSI 945gm3 mobo

Pentium D 805 2.66ghz Dual Core

2gb DDR2 800mhz

Seagate 320 16mb cache 7200rpm SATA

Nvidia 7600GT 256 (Natit drivers)

I'm getting a Xbench score of around 76.29. I don't have smooth 1080p playback, it's fairly choppy. I'm pretty sure it's not suppose to be like this. I'm going to post a link to the xbench scores of my old setup and my new one. For some reason the Pentium 4 SSE2 has a CPU Test of 58 and the Pentium D has a score of 49?

Thanks in advance! :|

your cpu really sucks and so does your graphics card....see my results..i get smooth playback with a score of 52.

Zurk, that drive of yours is really bringing down your score - http://db.xbench.com/merge.xhtml?doc2=241189

That is a comparison with my machine and we're neck and neck until the drive section. I'm using an old WD Caviar, so it's not even that good anyway!

Looks like you haven't got the video card drivers working from that Xbench result. A GMA950 doesn't stand a chance against a 7600GT, so the scores suggest that it isn't actually doing it's job properly. Look around for "MacVidia" drivers - apparently they should do the job for your card.

Try looking at the E21xx class cpus(cheap!), they are core2duo based and runs cool. I get a smooth video and a score of 110 (E2140, 7300GT videocard) when not overclocked. Goes to 2.4ghz easily on a good mobo. If you are sticking it out with your motherboard then go with the E43xx class cpu.If you want to stick with your board and cpu then look at other overclocking alternatives like BSEL mod, go search for it.

A) anyone who uses xbench to compare either hd or video card performance should be anally raped with a giant sledghammer, now, this instant. Once and for all: Xbench is a JOKE.

B) MacVidia are obsolete, as they do not allow QE/CI. They are only relevant to cards that don't work with Natit/Titan, nvidiaEFI et al. A 7600GT is a damn decent card that only needs natit to initialise it.

Well, the board isn't dead...yet. I found some interesting stuff...

This is Windows, it shows it running at 1.2 instead of 2.4ghz.

These are some geekbench scores...

My cpu clock seems to fluctuate between around 1.2ghz to just shy of 900mhz.

Check them here...

and

I found another guy with the same problem on another tech forum

here... http://www.techimo.com/forum/t191608.html

He has the exact same motherboard as me. 945gm3-f.

and this guy as well...

It seems my entire system has been underclocked. Hmm...
