  1. New server build

Hey Guys, I'm looking at putting together a new hackintosh to run as my server for the time being. This is the gear that I am looking at. Gigabyte EP45-DS3R - Everything seems to be working on this ie... sleep, shutdown, restart and audio Intel Q6600 G0 Stepping - Good value CPU and over clocks well. 8GB DDR2 1066MHz Nvidia 8800 512MB - Not overly expensive but quite good performance. SATA DVD-RW What I will need is a raid card so I can have a raid 0 setup on 300GB raptors. If anyone can suggest something I would appreciate it. Going to be running 10.5 server.
  2. Jailbreak iPhone Appearance

Heya Guys, If I get an iPhone and jailbreak and unlock it is it possible for it to still have the default appearance of the normal iPhone? Cheers.
  3. Bluetooth Dongle for OSx86?

What a load of krap! Wireless mouse and keyboard work with a usb bluetooth key! Bluetooth is built-in to the system, all the usb key does is add the HW mechanism. Any dongle you can find should work.
  4. www.fluidtek.com.au - the cheapest site I know of. He ships too.
  5. DP G5 or Hackintosh?

dude - not much difference between an iMac and a top of the line MBP
  7. Using a hackintosh for Logic

If a 17" MBP isn't good for logic what is it good for?
  8. Using a hackintosh for Logic

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter - no serious work is done on on-board audio. Any decent external interface will work like on any other mac.
  9. This is what I am building - i'll see if the new 45nm quad-core will come out in the next couple weeks if not I will go ahead with this system. Intel Q6600 Overclocked Thermaltake Ultra-120 Heatsink Gigabyte P35-DS3P 8800GT 1GB G92 Core - Does the brand matter? Pioneer Blu-Ray Combo S-ATA 1TB S-ATAII HD Apple IRDA Board w/cable 922-7318 4GB DDR2 800MHz D-Link DWA-547 v1.10(E) Wireless PCI 802.11b/g/n What do you think?
  10. The high price of Apple computers

Does that 509 include your premium quality lcd display, your operating system and digital entertainment software plus a free year of subscription to .mac? Are you planning on using a hard drive and optical drive or going with out?
  11. Hackintosh for sale

Hey Guys, Selling my first hackintosh. Intel D945GTP Logicboard. Pentium D 915 2.8GHz 7300GS 256MB + GMA950 SATAII 80GB 1GB DDR2 667MHz Touchscreen case too! Runs like a dream! Sound working with ALC883 (Optical, headphones, stereo and also in). Looking for $300 total.
  12. The high price of Apple computers

This rubbish guys! Seriously if you think they are over priced you don't know what you are looking at. Just add up all the pieces in the mac and get the prices of all te equivalents, and don't for get that the macs have the best quality products in them you will find. Everyone knows this. Plus you get an operating system, around $199AU and iLife $99AU plus 1 year warranty and 90-day phone support. How can you say this is expensive.
