Shigimatsu Posted September 22, 2007 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Ok, i've installed uphuck version 10.4.9, and it's working really great, with a few minor problems. 1. I've downloaded the IONetworkFamily.ktext, and my internet does work, but, when i restart i get an error message about IONetworkingFamily.ktext not working. Even then my internet works, but when i get two error messages (One about AppleBCM440XEternet.ktext) not working as well, my internet doesn't work and I have to re-replace the files almost every time. I know there is a way to fix this, I just don't know how. (I heard something about chmod and chown? No idea what those are, tried them in terminal and did nothing) 2. Soundblaster Audigy Integrated. I know there is no drivers for the PCI SoundBlaster, but I was wondering by some off chance was there a driver, a user-made driver, a beta driver or an emulation driver for this card? It's full name is Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD. If not, what's the CHEAPEST PCI sound card I can get that works with Hackintoshes? OMX-Knuckles Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 I'm at work now so I don't have time to research the driver issue... poke around and you'll at least find someone else who's had the issue. As for the audio, cheapest card I can think of off the top of my head would be something with the CMedia 8738 chipset. The cards usually go for like $15 MAX and while they're awful for Windows they're fine for OS X since all audio acceleration is done in software. Look around on Geeks or Newegg.
