StefanM
Hi, which of these products is faster in performance and brings more features that are needed and good to use? I am going to buy a brand new 24" iMac but I am Windows USer and need this for my work. So I need a very good integration and i want to start my bootcamp vista installation from one of the virtualization products. but which one is better? And do I have Aero when i boot the bootcamp installation from parallels/fusion? hecker
I personally have experienced better speed and stability with parallels. You would have to try this out for yourself though because the results may vary depending on what windows software you need to run. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63942-performance-parallels-vmware-fusion/#findComment-452454 Share on other sites
velayo
On my Macbook 1.83 C2D and 2 gb ram, I find vmware to be the most responsive of the two. Stability wise I believe both are about the same ( I don't use very intensive software - only use it for ImgBurn ). If you are thinking about using it for linux, I would say vmware is far better than parallels. Better yet, download the trial versions for both and test them, then you will know for sure. waradmin
Is it possible to successfully access a Vista partition crated with Bootcamp from OS X using parallels? I have Vista Ultimate (Which only cost me $10 for the full version, yay for student discounts) installed using bootcamp, however when parallels tries to boot it vista complains about hardware changes (as it should) and doesn't boot.
