Urbz
Hey everyone, I have a problem. An invalid sibling link. I have to reformat, because disk utility can't fix it. But i heard Norton Utilities can. Only that's PPC. So i got to thinking: what if i were to convert the partition with mac to a disk image, and use pear pc simply to fix it with norton, then turn it back into my partition? Even if i still need to reformat afterwards, it would be a nice little experiment. So my question: If i use norton ghost for all this, would it be a sector-per-sector backup, or a files-only backup? And which does Pear PC work with? Thanks, and i'll post back as soon as I can, Urby Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6337-turning-a-partition-into-a-disk-image/ Share on other sites
temis
Do not use PPC utilities (such as ghost or partition editors) apps on OSX86 partitions or disks ! It won't solve your problems ... and you may destroy other good partitions on your HDs The only safe solution is to save your important docs if you can and reinstall OSX86. good luck !
