Данчо
Hi, I have a 2GHZ Macbook and game runs fine even under Vista... but no luck in OS X... I tried looking at all related posts but no luck! I set up the game correctly with the HOMMV app, and it starts. However, I can't see the intro so I just skip to the main menu. After I start a new game, the loading screen appears. Right after that, when it's done loading and the "Liberty City Airport whatever..." caption apperars, the game crashes I it spits me out to the OS X. I downloaded SWISTAK's config file, but that didn't help.. Any ideas guys? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62236-gta-san-andreas/ Share on other sites

tomozj
Well, I've had a go, but no luck at all. The torrent is pretty dead now, any ideas on what to do? I get the Nvidia and that other startup screen shown to me extremely fast, and then just a black screen with a half faded in Nvidia badge... tomozj
Alright, I clicked and that worked. Now for the {censored}ed up graphics.. I think I read in some topic how to get past it. I'm really interested in getting this to work, so if I can do it I'll post up instructions. tomozj
Err, Crossover doesn't support directx9 games - you'll need to get something like Cider, or Parallels Desktop. I'll have another go now. Update: It seems that it works in the window mode, which can be activated via winecfg settings. MacKev
Hi, sorry to bring this back up, but I'd be really happy to get GTA to work on my MacBook in Crossover. Somehow I just can't get it to work... So here's what I did: 1.) Installed Crossover 2.) inserted GTA Disc 3.) opened install.exe on GTA Disc 4.) installed DirectX from the GTA Disc 5.) installed GTA from the GTA Disc 6.) opened gta_sa.exe What happens: Game starts up, and the NVidea sign apears. I press enter to get pass it, the GTA-Cover appears virtual window closes, nothing happens... same in fullscreen Are there any more thing's I should do than the 6 above? I'd be happy about any helping hand -Kev the Newbie Edit: Almost forgot: MacBook Core2Duo, 2GHz, 80GB HD, 2GB Ram, GMA3100, Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62236-gta-san-andreas/#findComment-700052 Share on other sites
