fisk1
Hello guy’s, I’m having problem formatting the hard drive with “Disk Utils”. I’m trying the “uphuck” release for AMD. I’m using 2xHDD, separate, SATA, my sys I s nforce4/ A64/ SS2. When I boot the DVD, I’ve got no troubles with finding the hard drives, but when I try to erase to HFS+ extended – could not perform it, the wheel starts spinning for about a 30minuts, and it gives me an error message. I’ve tried to format one of my drives into fat32, even I’ve erased all the partitions, but no success. Is there a way to make a partition by using third party software? Tried to search an answer to my problem, but I couldn’t. Best regards : ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62149-trouble-formatting/ Share on other sites

Davejb
One of my drives was giving me the same problem during an uphuck install, I booted off the UBCD and used one of the hard drive MBR tools to erase the MBR, then all was fine.
