A Nonny Moose
From MacUser cones this story about the liquid cooling systems on the G5 towers (those dual 2.7 models) LEAKING. These systems are most definitely out of warranty, but Apple is well known for making systems that last forever, like the Digital Audio G4 I am posting from. While this is definitely not the fault of the PowerPC chip, it does give a little reason about why Apple made the switch (cooler processors). Soündless
hmm, i wonder if apple will fix this like they did with the ibook g3 logicboards. that problem came up after they where out of warrenty, and they fixed it.

91gti_wolfsburg
My water cooled PC has performed flawlessly (besides the required number of crashes/year that windows happily provides) as a space heater for years. My MBP also gets very hot. I have burned my thighs on numerous occaisons. When I hear the fans spooling up to 5000+ RPM I know it isnt long before I feel my skin searing to the underside of my laptop.
