I'm suspicious that it works only with intel dual core like core2 duo not for amd... Has somebody tried with amd ?

I had an Opteron dual core, and still have a X2 dual core.

Both cores work perfectly, you shouldn't be afraid of AMD just because people think Intel is better.

(There maybe be a fewer CPUID checks needed to be patched, but right now they both work just as fast.)

Thank you for the reply, but you could activate/deactive and assign/drop core to process like in the real mac pro ? Regards

Can't say i had the need to even look for that option as the system handles it fine.

Are you sure that Mac Pro can do CPU affinity on dual cores and its not just doing it on dual CPUs?

(If so it won't matter for X2)

I have a dual CPU machine now and I don't see that option. (Could be OS X server only?)

I know the CHUD tools included with Xcode have some features for disabling cores, caches, etc, but I have no experience with them and don't know the extent of features.
