phanguy
i was wondering if anyone has used an ir remote with osx86. more specifically i was wondering if there were any known ir receivers that would work with the apple remote. i've read of one person using this and saying it worked perfectly: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16880100851 is there anyone that can confirm this? or even confirm any working ir device? i've looked around quite a bit and googling only resulted with articles of mce vs. front row. so i'm stuck. thanks for any input. DrSupachicken
If you get an Imac IRDA board and wire it on a usb port pple will think it has the real receiver! A bloke in scotland did the mod to a mac pro. he is going to realease instructions any day! hold on for that. The Baron
I use this http://twistedmelon.com/mira/hardware.html with an Apple remote on my Hackintosh. Works great, the software's pretty good too. Ferret-Simpson
The issue is, most notebooks have PCI irda on the LPC bus. There is no spoon. I mean driver. For LPC IRDA.
