GFX-1
PAVN I have: GA-P35C-DS3R 2 500GB Samsung HDs 4 GB DDR2 Intel Core 2 Duo 6750 SATA Sony Optiarc DVD Drive So far the furthest i've reached is a blank blue screen, looks like login without the window. That's using uphuck v1.4.i. Maybe we can help each other out. Thanks, Lightbraker This is as far as I've reached as well. I had to go through a few video cards and finally reached this state with a Visiontek Radeon X1300 (256MB) (PCI) card. Couldn't use the DVI port but SVGA works. Before this I had an Nvidia 8600 GT (256MB) (PCI-X) card installed. I received an error screen telling me to reboot. Does anyone know what may be wrong? Are the Radeon X1300 cards compatible? If not I'll take it back to the store immediately. pavn
I have mainboard: GA-P35C-DS3R, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, 2GB DDRII 800, WD5000AAKS, DVD GSA-LG 4163B, nvidia 8500. Installed OSX 10.4.6 directly to HD using vmware and sucessfully booted natively. Installed RealtekR1000 from: https://sourceforge.net/projects/realtekr1000/ (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=29436&st=0&gopid=203604entry203604) - got working LAN. I tried AzaliaAudio.pkg.zip from: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;&do=findComment&comment=259784 . Did not helped me. I tried also alc889a.zip from: http://rapidshare.com/files/51585161/alc889a.zip.html (using this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...t=&do=findComment&comment=457698) - OS did not booted - some bug was reported by OS. My bios version is: F4i. And I have Azalia codec enabled in setup. I used uphuck_10.4.9_v1.4i_r2 dvd. Installed using vmware directly to hard disk and sucessfully booted natively. - got working LAN. - installed alc889a and got working 2 audio outs. The difference is that using OSX 10.4.6 I was not able to get working audio. On 10.4.9 I have currently one problem. When I move window using mouse to newer position, the window is not refreshed correctly. I did not have this problem with OSX 10.4.6. I have nvidia 8500 without using acceleration - I think it is vesa mode or something. Did not selected any specific driver during the installation for nvidia 8500. I can use osx 10.4.9 from windows using vmware. In this case I do not have this problem: ("When I move window using mouse to newer position, the window is not refreshed correctly. entity119
Hi folks Sorry to dredge up a thread from a while back but I have the newer version of this board (EP35-DS3) which is apparently pretty much identical, but I can't get the sound to work correctly. I've been able to use the alc889.zip files with HDA Patcher and it successfully detects all the ports, SPDIF etc, but when I reboot still no Built In Audio Device in System Profiler and still no devices listed in System Preferences. I've also tried the relevant section of http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=75863 to replace AppleHDA.kext and ALCInhecct.kext to no avail Everything else seems to be working fine so far, but the lack of sound is a real PITA - anyone have any suggestions?
