Threepwood
Hey ppl, I downloaded a font from 1001fonts.com (Mac format) but it's a strange format: font.mdimporter. Is this for Classic? I have the Windows version already, but I can't find an app to convert it (one that is free that is, or a serial). I'd be greatful if someone could help me convert it. It's only one font so I don't really feel like buying an app, like TransType. Thanks!
Headrush69
Are you sure it downloaded right? (It.s not for classic BTW.) I just went to 1001fonts.com and downloaded several mac format and they all contained a Font suitcase. To install you can move them to the fonts directory, or double click them to view them in font box. After verify there is an install button in font box to add them to the system. A Nonny Moose
Place the Windows TTF font in your fonts folder. Problem solved.
Headrush69
Place the Windows TTF font in your fonts folder. Problem solved. It's not a font file, hence his problem. (To be exact it is a font file but without the proper file extension it is being recognized as the wrong file type. Add .tff to the end of the name.) Threepwood
When I try to install it the font manager tells me there is something wrong with the font. However, other fonts from that site work. So I guess it's just Kelmscott Roman that's screwed up.

Threepwood
Nope, same thing...says there's something wrong with the "font table directory".
Headrush69
Nope, same thing...says there's something wrong with the "font table directory". Opps, my mistake. The font displayed OK in font book, but when you install through font book it produces the error with the font table. If I manually move it into ~/Library/Fonts I have no trouble using it in NeoOffice though. P.S. I download Kelmscott Roman from a several different sites and they all have the same font table issue, so it looks like a design problem. Either try using it anyways or choose a different font.
