What exactly are the benefits of turning a PC into a Hackintosh? Or even going full-time with it?

Because I always end up being turned off by the fact of using Dual-Booting, because I would end up spliting everything in two different worlds, as in something as simple as using Word, should I use Word on this OS or that one? Is their much of difference? All the confusement feel like I will end up having different or same things in two different worlds. Or something like installing a program, lets just say PhotoShop CS3, should I pirate a Mac OSX version or a Windows version?

Basically it feels like I will end up at a point where it feels like I have to operating systems which are exact clones and can do the same thing as the other...

Another benefit of Hackintosh I don't really get is the upgraded ability that you get...But if lets say I got full-hackintosh, hypothetically speaking, how exactly is SLi of DX10 video cards going to help me in OSX, is there really anything on OSX its self that actually might take advantage of high-end hardware parts?

It really all depends on what you'd like to accomplish.

My biggest reason for placing OS X on my laptop is so that I can use Mac-only programs, like Final Cut Pro and GarageBand.

I still use XP and Vista (meh) most of the time for work, but it's nice to have a Mac handy for video/photo editing.

If you're just comparing things that are basically the same on each platform (Word, Photoshop, etc), then of course you won't see a difference. I prefer OS X because I like the OS itself better than Windows, and some of the stuff that comes with it (like Mail). I don't really use the iLife stuff much at all except for iTunes, and occasionally iPhoto. One big thing is I'm completely lost in Windows without a shell. Case in point, here's what exposé of my Terminal windows looks like right now (I didn't open any extra windows for this picture. These were all open already)

I never switch between OS X and Windows. OS X is the only OS that boots on this computer. If I have something I need to do in Windows, I run it in VMWare.

Btw, mac environment don't use DirectX, but using openGL. And SLi is for gaming purpose. IINM, DX10 based card (Nvidia8series and ati2000series) got newer version of openGL. Basically those high-end part you mention are related to games. When comes to 3D rendering, processor and ram are more important than graphic card, then you don't really need SLi or whatever it is. :(
