  1. Just wondering if anyone knows a way to enable the SD card reader on a Dell Inspiron 9300. If not, I'll just keep using my usb cord for my camera, but it would be nice for trips.
  2. A Few Hackintosh Questions

I got rid of the AGP check and now it runs fine. Haven't had any problems importing and editing... yet.I was also directed to use the hacked PowerManagement bundle which now works perfectly.
  3. Hackintosh

It really all depends on what you'd like to accomplish. My biggest reason for placing OS X on my laptop is so that I can use Mac-only programs, like Final Cut Pro and GarageBand. I still use XP and Vista (meh) most of the time for work, but it's nice to have a Mac handy for video/photo editing.
  4. A Few Hackintosh Questions

I just successfully installed the JaS OS X 10.4.8 setup on my Dell Inspiron 9300. All of my supported hardware is also working great, but I'm having issues with Final cut Pro and I was also wondering if and Power Management program hacks have become available. My final Cut Pro problem stems from the fact that I have a PCI-E 6800 go. I start the program and it immediately shuts down with a "no AGP card found" error. I know there is a sim[;e way to fix this, but after 30 minutes of trying to search the forums, I've come up empty-handed. Can anyone help me with this? All the rest of the [rograms I've tried (iLife suite, Adobe CS2 Suite and Office 2004 are all working flawlessly, so far. Thanks in advance.
  5. Okay, I am trying to install OS X on a separate HD. I have 3 HDs, a 200gb IDE (XP Storage), a 250gb SATA (XP Boot), and a 300gb SATA (where I want to put OS X). Whenever I get to the install menu off the OS X Boot DVD the only HD it recognizes is the first 200gb one that is in NTFS and is currently holding most of my saved documents and downloads. I'd really like to see if there is a way to make the OS X install recognize the 3rd 300gb HD which is currently un-partitioned (i was going to partion it in the OS X install). I mistakenly posted a thread about this in Mac Dual-Booting, so appologies for that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  6. My situation: I have 3 hard drives and I'm trying to install OS X on my 3rd SATA 300GB drive. I have XP Pro installed and running on two drives. My Drive setup atm HD1 Seagate 200GB UltraIDE - NTFS XP storage HD2 Seagate 250GB SATA - NTFS with XP Pro installed HD3 Seagate 300GB SATA - Raw <- this is where I want OS X I am not using RAID. For some reason, when I get to the OS X install screen, the only HD that shows up is my first 200GB IDE drive which I use for extra storage via XP. If anyone knows a way I can make OS X install recognize my 3rd drivbe I will be very greatful. PS - I AM BROWSING THE BOARDS FOR ANSWERS JUST IN CASE THEY HAVE BEEN POSTED ALREADY. Thanks. Actually, can a mod move this to PC Dual Booting? My appologies.

  8. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

Thanks for putting forth the effort, even if it isn't a perfect solution. I can't wait to see the progress.
  9. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

I killed a hooker in anticipation.
  10. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

No luck for me. It doesn't work with my version of OS X.
  11. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

We need some updates if this isn't a joke. You're leaving us in the dark.
  12. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

Great news! If you can get this working for a 2915, I would greatly appreciate it. Let me know if I can be of any help. PS, I'll gladly throw in at least $5 if all goes well.
  13. Final Cut 5 & 10.4.5

Thank you, it took me a while to figure that out. I have only been using Mac OS for 5 days now. I'm still learning.
  14. Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200B/2915

I hope someone is still working on this. I'll be extremely greatful if you ever get it working! I've got an Intel PRO/Wireless 2915 Internal Wireless.
  15. Any developments on nvidia?

I would do that except for the fact that i have a 1440x900 lcd. That's why I can't wait for some widescreen breakthroughs. Here's my boot: http://www.underearthstudios.com/Tony/vide...kintoshboot.avi The large pause is an error with NVidia.kext
