MacSimilian
Is this possible, that I install VNC Server on a Windows machine and view/control it via a MacBook Pro running OS X via DSL? Thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56905-vnc-windows-server-os-x-viewer/ Share on other sites
lord_muad_dib
of course, just download a vnc client, put the host wan-ip on the panel, and you're set dont forget to redirect right ports(should be 5600-56003) if the host is behind a router Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56905-vnc-windows-server-os-x-viewer/#findComment-406495 Share on other sites

MacSimilian
Thx chelhydra but I dont have Windows XP Pro. lord_muad_dib are u sure? I haven't found a VNC client which runs Windows and OS X. I only found a Windowsbased VNC Server which can viewed with a java-enabled Webbrowser. The name of the VNC Client is TightVNC and UltraVNC but I'm not sure if this works. Hagar
I use RealVNC free server & enterprise standalone viewer for controlling windows xp from os x. both these are free for personal use, just click "proceed to download". I also recommend tsclientx (requires X11) which works with both Remote Desktop (RDP) and VNC protocols. Guest Ramm
There's also Chicken of the VNC (CotVNC) which I prefer. It's free, of course. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56905-vnc-windows-server-os-x-viewer/#findComment-406806 Share on other sites
