I managed to get leopard 9a466 all installed and everything is working great, (other than backdrops), but when I close the lid of my Macbook, I have to cold restart in order to get it to wake up. Is there a fix for this? It is pretty irritating.

Thanks in Advance,

Jeff

sleeping on macbook...like a pillow?

but seriously, Apple released a patch for powerbooks from the software update...i dont know if you have installed it. I forget if it covered MB as well....hopefully you will get a patch soon.

Hey guys, did you all just do an upgrade to leopard? you have to do a completely fresh erase and install, the beta doesn't seem to give that option the first time you install though. back-up and do it all again this time doing an erase and install.

From my understanding a upgrade has both tiger and leopard components mingling in the core services. I had the same problem, leopard was ridiculously buggy but i re-install from scratch and it's awesome. Some people i know tried to archive and install as a way around backing up and there machines still have all the problems like the sleep issues.

hope that helps :P

Thanks! I non-destructively created two partitions, copied data, deleted the original and it worked like a charm!!!

This is now my favorite mac forum!!

thanks again!

i'm not alone!!!

i was really scared, besides this issue, my macbook eats all my battery when i'm in sleep mode with leopard.

hope the next release fix this

Does you computer not actually sleep? fans spin etc. might want to heed my above advice.

If not; mine sleeps fine i left mine with 83% battery today, left the house for 7 hours and came back with 80-ish%

Same problem here, just noticed it yesterday. Put the mac to sleep, about 4 hours later, battery was depleted. The mac was in sleep mode, so it shouldn't have been eating power (no fans spinning, white led was doing the sleep flashing).

Normaly I don't notice as the mac will only be in sleep mode for about an hour a day (during my comute to and from work) the rest of the time it's plugged in.

fan stops spinning and the white lead starts blinking like in tiger..anyway, i wont look for any solution, i just want to know if leopard will kill my battery
